Conducted by Master Paul McPhail. The purpose of the course is to keep Instructors “updated” with any new techniques or changes to the syllabus, and to “update” their Instructors Certificate. This year’s course covers the following topics:
• Increasing flexibility training in our sessions and understand the importance of muscle flexibility. Learn stretching routine.
• Importance of core strength to maximize Taekwon-Do performance
• Technical refinement to key movements in patterns
• Instructor/student relationship, instructor behaviour and email etiquette.
• Marketing plan (by our CEO, Mr Mike Thompson)

Course Content »
Conducted by Mr Lowe. The 2011 course is the second in a series of 'how to' courses for experienced instructors. The theme of the course is effective instructing. Skills gained in the course will enable instructors to practise instructing in a student-centred environment. What this means is the ability to apply instructing skills so instructors can create a positive environment to enhance student learning and performance. Concepts covered will include: the NZ CoachApproach; student-centred instructing; effective instructing strategies; communication; feedback; questioning and talent development. Content will be delivered by a variety of means including audio-visual presentations, lectures and demonstrations. Participants will engage with the content by having discussions and practising various strategies and techniques. It is expected that participants will apply their knowledge and skills in a series of lessons upon the returning to their schools.
