- Open session with the Board: All welcome. On Sunday February 12 the Board is meeting in Wellington. From 1pm until 2pm the Board will running an open format session. Taekwon-Do instructors, students and interested family members are invited to come along, at your leisure within this hour, to meet Board members, and to raise any issues, pass on suggestions, or ask any questions you wish. The Board meeting will be held at: Archaus Architects, Ground Floor 25-29 Pirie Street, Wellington.

- Thank you to those who applied to be a part of and support the New Zealand High Performance Programme. Our goal is to build a world class high performance programme focussed on our athletes becoming the best in the world and we need world class people to support them. Two pinnacle events are the 2012 World Cup in Brighton, England and 2013 World Championships in Benadorm, Spain. We are please to appoint the following people who will help our athletes prepare, attend, compete and win at selected international events. Join us in congratulating these people. - 2011 Halberg Award nominees announced. Mr Carl van Roon and Mr Steve Pellow have been named in the list of finalists for the 2011 awards, to be announced on February 9, 2012. Read the story here.

He's been made dux of his school, blitzed his senior classmates at NCEA exams and he's off to Otago University to study pre-medicine – oh, and he's only a fourth former. - The New Zealand Martial Arts Institute (NZMI) has been formed and recently held it's inaugural meeting. The organisation was established to benefit all styles of martial arts and to add credibility to genuine martial artists and martial arts organisations.
The first NZMI AGM will be held at 11am on 11 February 2012 at the Seishinkan Dojo, Shorewell Street, Sandringham, Auckland. All will be most welcome.
